The Endling break and NYCC
I've been lacking in updating every Thursday news of the Endling, but this is a big one, and the few people who pass from here probably know that already. The weekly publication of the Endling on Thrillbent.com had almost reached the production, so we had to make calculations and decide to take a break, so we could stack a decent number of chapters before starting publishing again.
So the production hasn't stopped: I've sent the last pages for Issue 22 right this morning, I'm preparing the bonus material for Collection #3 and working proceeds as usual.
We will be back online at the end of January.
In the meantime, please join the Endling on facebook or on Twitter to keep up with updates!
The second, necessary update is that I'm coming to New York! I'll be touring the NY Comicon in company of a very good friend, and hopefully we'll see something of the city as well. We are organizing with other Thrillbent authors, to see if we can recognize each other in first place, and then eventually do something. We'll keep you informed!

I have seriously, horribly neglected this blog. Whenever a new chapter of The Endling is up, I try to share it on facebook, on tumblr and on deviantArt, but once I do all that tour I'm usually too tired to share it here as well. But I took two days off drawing for Ferragosto, so I thought I could as well update the blog too.
So, the Endling.
The series reached Issue 14 yesterday (always on Thrillbent.com), and I finished inking Issue 17 a couple of days ago. We are about to reach the core arc of the story - all set during one long night - and I'm quite anxious to see how I will deal with that all (ahah).
Since I reached my family's house in the middle of July, I was able to produce just two aside drawings, one featuring Zatanna
and the second one Harley Queen:

The Endling preview
Sneak peak of The Endling, the comic I've been working on for a few months now. Premiering tomorrow on Thrillbent
Drawings by me
Story by JT Larsen
Colors by Paul Mounts
Lettering by Troy Peteri
As all the other comics on Thrillbent, the Endling is a comic expressly conceived for a digital fruition (web, tablets, phones etc) with animation-like effects between pages. The story just hooked me since the beginning. I hope you'll like it as well.

The Endling promo
The first promotional image for The Endling, the series I'm currently working on and that should appear on Thrillbent.com in a couple of weeks or so! Art by me, colours by Nolan Woodard. The story is by Jonathan Larsen. Read an article here!
The Endling by writer J.T. Larsen and artist Cecilia Latella deals with a woman who created a virtual simulation of the end of the human race, and what the last human on Earth would be like. Then that digital model of a woman looked at her through the monitor and asked to be set free. It’s a dark Pinocchio story, about bringing a creation to life and finding out that she may not be a good person. “This series will be great. The consequences will be dire.” riffed Waid.

News: The Endling
Since the news is out, I could at least share it with you!
So, what have I done in the last months? I've been working on a new webcomic which should start at the end of the month on Thrillbent. Story is by Jonathan Larsen. This is what the writer wrote about it:
I've long been interested in evolution, especially the ramifications of natural selection. I learned and thought and think about evolution not from a biological perspective but from a philosophical one. My faculty advisor in college was the well known philosopher (to the extent such a thing exists) Dan Dennett, who went on to write Darwin's Dangerous Idea, among other things.
After getting the opportunity to write a couple Batman stories for DC Comics, I began to think about projects of my own I wanted to do. One of them is a big, cool saga I hope to start soon, but as I shopped that around and spoke about it with various people in comics, I realized I should have another pitch in my back pocket, just in case. I began to think it might be fun to think about what the last human would be like. And how he got that way.
I hadn't known this before I began looking into the concept, but there actually is a term for the last individual specimen of a given species. The endling.
But the Endling isn't the hero of this story. The hero is a high-school senior named Amber Black. The story became less about the last humans and their world, than about current humans and our world; the prices we will and won't pay to save our world.
What the Endling ultimately is, well, I'm curious to find out what people have to say about that once the story is done.
It's scheduled to begin this month, so keep checking back. Once it's up, I'll link to it here. Or better yet, sign up for emails letting you know when each installment goes up!
This is the facebook page for the Endling. Please like!
And a few previews:
A podcast with the writer talking about the Endling.
Wait for more news! I hope you'll like it!
